As we head into a new week, this is a gentle reminder that we are not defined by our past mistakes or failures. Each breath, each moment, is an opportunity to start fresh, to choose a new path, and to create the life we want.
Mindfulness can help us to begin again by helping us to be present in the here and now. When we are mindful, we are not dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. We are simply focused on the present moment. This allows us to see clearly and make choices that are aligned with our values.
If you are feeling stuck or like you need to start over, here is a mindfulness practice that can help:
✨ Pay attention to your surroundings. Notice the sounds, smells, and textures that you can experience. What is present in your environment - right here, right now?
✨ Become aware of any body sensations, thoughts, and feelings. Notice what is coming up for you without judgment.
✨ Take a few deep breaths and focus on your breath - how it feels to breathe in this moment. Notice the rise and fall of your chest, the cool air entering your nose and the warm air leaving your mouth.
✨ Now ask yourself - what do I want to create in this moment? What choices can I make to move closer to my intentions and goals?
✨ Take a few more slow, deep breaths to end the practice. See if it's possible to show yourself some kindness and compassion with each inhale and exhale.
Remember, you can begin again at any time. With mindfulness, you can create the life you want, one moment at a time.
